Library of Congress Call Number Examples: kf101.2s54, or just kf101.2. Type as much or as little as you wish. Government Document Number (SuDoc) Examples: t 22.35/2:f 76, or just t 22.35. Punctuation and spaces are important; upper and lower case letters are not important. Standard Numbers (ISSN, ISBN, Music) Examples: ISBN: 012-56789-123, ISSN: 1234-56788. Type as much of the standard number as you know. Punctuation and spacing are optional. Other standard numbers are GPO item numbers, technical report numbers, etc. OCLC Number Example: 1587560 Public Law Number This index contains Public Law numbers for which there are legislative histories in the Library. Statutes at Large citations are entered for laws passed before the use of Public Law numbers began. Type the Public Law number, omitting the hyphen, for example: 74 198 or type the Statutes at Large citation, for example: 28 Stat 509. |
